All-timers

Years ago as a young pastor, we were as poor as church mice.  However the God who took care of the mice also took care of the young minister and his family.  There was someone in the church who appeared to be grateful for ministry and also seemed sensitive to our financial situation (although we never talked about money publicly or privately).  He would often say, “When my ship comes in, I’m going to remember you.”   “When my boat, comes in, I’m not going to forget you.”  Well, a couple of years went by and he sort of  “Hit the Lottery” (so to speak).  Sure enough, he did not forget us.  We got a post card from Hawaii.  That was the last time we ever heard from him.
