I Purpose to Remain Pure

"Thou shalt not commit adultery" Ex. 20:14

This conviction protects my home and my marriage. Jesus Christ was tempted by the Devil. You will be tempted as well. Adultery is simply "Unfaithfulness." Be Faithful!

Satan will come to you with what looks like a pretty good idea. He will try to dirty, destroy, or pervert the will of God. God gave us a commandment about moral purity. Be warned. "The devil goeth about like a roaring lion...." Don't let him devour you.

Satan will try to entice you. (Prov. 1:10 ) Satan has many lures in his tackle box. (Ja. 1:14). Satan will try to get you to bow down (Mt. 4:9). Don't do it, even if everyone else is. Daniel purposed in his heart- He made a vow, a promise to God to remain pure. (Dan. 1:8).

How can a young person keep himself pure in an impure world?

Principle of displacement. Notice how Jesus responded to temptation in Matthew 4. Fill your mind and heart with God's Word.

One way to remain pure is to remain pure in your thoughts. The principle of displacement works on the fact that two things can occupy the same space at the same time. So it is with thoughts. Fill your mind with good thoughts. Phil. 4:8
